Last week there was some very exciting news here at the Monaco Luxury Weddings offices; we have acquired the specs from the original Grace Kelly gown. So, if your dream is to re-enact the Grace Kelly wedding on those iconic steps in Monte-Carlo, we are the wedding planners to help you turn that dream into a reality. In fact, Monaco Luxury Weddings can give you the entire Grace Kelly experience; we have a special relationship with the iconic Hotel de Paris in Monaco and have exclusive access to the wine cellar where Grace Kelly would once meet with her prince. The wine cellar also boasts the largest collection of rare wines in Europe and would obviously be a perfect venue for a pre-wedding party or rehearsal.

It’s getting into that romantic time of year; love is in the air, I can feel it! Whether your friends just got engaged on New Year’s Eve or you think your boyfriend might pop the question on St. Valentine’s Day, remember that Monaco Luxury Weddings produces the most romantic weddings on the Côte d’Azur. Recently, we have been working with the finest suppliers of roses from the Grasses area. Beautiful flowers grow along the whole of the French Riviera but they are especially prevalent in and around Grasses. Whilst driving along the coast recently I came across a beautiful stone chapel situated in the most picturesque little French village. I am so excited about filling this stunning little chapel with freshly cut roses for a late spring wedding!

Welcome to 2010! This year promises to be an exciting one for Monaco Luxury Weddings. We hear that Monaco Luxury Weddings will be featured in the Côte d’Azur’s beloved Riviera Times- the South of France’s English popular English speaking newspaper- the April edition will feature an in depth look at some of the beautifully romantic weddings we have planned (“Brides and Grooms love Monaco Luxury Weddings”) and the May edition will include an up-front and personal interview with our CEO, Gina de Franco.
The Christmas and New Year period has been a busy time for us so we’re excited about having a quick breather this January before preparation for our spectacular spring/ summer weddings begins! New Year’s Eve was a particularly magic night (yet busy nonetheless) for us; we were asked to organise an impromptu wedding in St Tropez, the South of France. We had just two weeks to plan but we pulled out all the stops and certainly managed to live up to our reputation as the best wedding planner on the French Riviera. We were even able to organise an extremely famous tenor to sing at the reception but we have been asked to keep the details secret so no names I’m afraid! However, we can tell you a few things: Charles and Kelly loved their wedding on the picturesque Côte d’Azur. We started off the festivities with a dinner party in the world famous Hotel de Paris in Monte-Carlo where we toured the famous wine cellar where Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier would often meet en cachette. The guests also spent a night relaxing in the picturesque Antibes where they were stunned by the South of France’s beautiful bright winter light. The pre-party celebrations were held at Charles’ private villa where the bridal party worked their way through 100 bottles of Don Perignon. Tricia chose to wear her mother’s wedding dress which was updated with fine and delicate pearls which were stitched in just below the neckline. It was certainly a wedding not to be missed.
The holiday period was a great time for meeting new people and as always Monaco Luxury Weddings was on the lookout for new and inspirational wedding destinations in the South of France, our favourite part of the world. A chance meeting with a Russian count at an absolutely stunning Christmas drinks party in Monte-Carlo led to a tour of his grand estate in the breathtaking Cap d’Antibes which Monaco Luxury Weddings now has exclusive access to.
